Because the photos look intriguing, netizens and showbiz-oriented Facebook users would be tempted to click the link. Once clicked, the user will be brought to a software installation page.

It's a deceitful way cybercriminals use to lure Facebook users and trick them to install malware or virus that may lead to hacking.

In the process, victims could reveal personal information and their infected account will be used to spread the scam further to their social network.

If you happen to encounter a post similar to the one shown in the first photo, immediately report it as spam and don't ever try to click the link.

Actress Anne Curtis has denied an Instagram post stating that she and boyfriend Erwan Heussaff are already engaged. Earlier today, October 15, Cosmo.ph discovered a photo of Anne and Erwan on the Instagram account of wedding inspirations blog, Bride and Breakfast, which claims that the two are now engaged. The photo caption reads: "Literally the SWEETEST engagement!!!!!!! Congratulations @erwanjheussaff and @annecurtissmith."

Cosmo.ph immediately asked Anne's manager, Veronique del Rosario-Corpus of Viva Artists Agency, about the photo. She did not confirm the news and said, "It's not true, but I might be the last to know." The photo of Anne and Erwan, however, was already deleted on Bride and Breakfast's Instagram account Read: Are Anne Curtis And Erwan Heussaff Engaged?! A few hours after the report came out, Anne herself posted a message on Instagram to deny that she and Erwan are already engaged. She said: "Hahaha! Where did this news come from?
